Good players are often not involved in the game enough to make a serious impact. This can be a major handicap for a team with exceptional forwards who don't see enough of the ball to score goals. One way to ensure your best players are always involved is to teach them how to create space so they are in a position to receive passes.
This DVD starts with simple drills to teach players the technique of checking away then coming back to receive the pass. Different exercise progress the session by adding defenders. Once players understand how to create space individually, the session focuses on working with two forwards and methods of creating space for each other.
This session was conducted at the 2008 Football Coaching International Coaching Conference, Brisbane, Australia.
